How-To: Wrapping

If there’s one thing we’re really good at, it’s wrapping.

We package and wrap hundreds (yes hundreds) of orders each day! So we’ve learned a thing or two. With Christmas in just a few short day (OMG), we’re here to help all you last-minute wrappers have the most beautiful presents under the tree.

First, take into consideration the size/shape or your present and determine if it’s best to wrap it in paper, put it in a box or place it in a bag. If you are going to wrap it in paper, it’s best to overestimate rather than underestimate the amount of paper you will need. Simply place the present on the paper and practice wrapping the paper completely around it. Once you see where ends meet, snip a little at the edge so you know where you’ll have to cut the paper. Cut the paper where the snip begins. Next wrap the paper around the present and secure it in place with some tape. Next, it’s time to tackle the dreaded edges! Make a triangle on the top and bottom of the edge. To avoid a pointy tip, fold the top over so it’s a nice, straight edge. Bring the ends together, making sure one overlaps the other. Secure with tape. Repeat on the other end. The final part is the best part! Adding bits of decorations – it could be a bow, wrapping string around it, or adding a holly leaf by the name tag. Whatever suits you and the presentee!

If you are lucky enough to place the present in a bag, make sure you add enough tissue paper to hide the gift and allow it to pop out of the top just a bit. Depending on the style of the bag, you could also decorate further by adding a bow or tying some string in a loop! If your present needs to be placed in a box to be wrapped, follow the previous instructions on how to wrap neatly.

Of course, it’s always the thought that counts at the end of the day, so don’t stress over it too much!! We hope this helps & good luck wrapping! 🎁
