Football season is officially underway! I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about those Friday night lights and those Saturday tailgates that bring people together and make fall that much more exciting. For this What to Wear Wednesday, we’re going to show you what to wear and how to host a killer game day!
First things first – what to wear. Obviously, you’ll want to wear your teams respective colors, but you can get creative in how you incorporate and style them. We love our cozy varsity striped sweaters as they’re cute, subtle and sporty yet chic. Pair it with some casual blue jeans and sneakers and you’re ready to go!
Secondly, you need to have your a-team – aka your friends, neighbors and family! Invite the gang over for some food and a good time. Clearly, everyone will be there for the game, but deep down, people come for the food, so you have to make sure you’re amply supplied! Pizza, burgers, chips, hot dogs, finger foods and drinks (if of legal age) are all safe options, but we want you to amaze. So, we present to you Abby’s decadent buffalo dip that will have your guests raving for days!
- 8oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (Frank’s Redhot)
- 2 cans of chicken (drained) *12.5oz cans
- Cheese – as much as you want 😜
- Put all ingredients into a crockpot
- Cook for 2 hours
- Enjoy with Tostito chips!
With your outfit on point and food on deck, it’s time to kick off the pregame activities! A little pick-up flag football, corn hole, flip cup, whatever it may be, something to get the whole crowd involved!
Before you know it, it’s time for kickoff! We hope this helps ensure you’re game day is a total touchdown and that your team scores their way to victory! We’re curious, leave a comment below with your go-to game day recipes and who you’re cheering for this season😄🏈📣
